CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. Functional movements refer to a movement sequence based on real world situations. Which means we help you get better at navigating life.

Unlike a boring workout at a traditional gym, where everyone is doing bicep curls or running on a treadmill by themselves, we are working out in a small community of likeminded individuals. Our member’s goals range from the getting fit for the very first time to preparing for competitions. We guarantee that we can help you reach your goals and have fun while doing it.

Potential and Longevity

Become the best version of yourself getting coached in a small group setting by coaches that have a decade of experience. They will make sure you have the right form, the right stimulus, and the right motivation to keep you on your journey. As we get older, it is imperative that we train with weight bearing exercises accompanied with endurance training to maintain and increase bone density as well as strengthen our heart.

Purchase a New Member Special

We offer the best starter package in the city. The starter package comes with 1,2, 3, or 6 months (prepaid) of heavily discounted unlimited classes, an intro 1 on 1 fundamentals sessions that is taken before you get started, and two free personal training sessions you can use at any time. For every 100 workouts you log, you get a free month. This is how much we believe in our program and how much we believe everyone should be on this fitness journey with us. We want to make sure you have all the tools you need to succeed mentally and physically.

Take your fundamentals class

We want you to be prepared and confident before you take your first class. This one on one session will take you through the core movements and what to expect from classes. After that, you can jump into a class or take another 2 free personal training sessions.

Start your Group Class!

We scale for for ALL fitness levels. Whether this is day one of your fitness journey or day 1000. Our group classes are designed to be small so that you can get the right amount of attention and motivation.

$145 3x a week

$175 unlimited.

Drop in is $20 per class. If you have a CrossFit experience, feel free to drop into any class. All you need to do pre purchase a drop in, come to class, introduce yourself to the coach, and show them your email receipt.

Bat City Blueprint

The purpose of the Bat City CrossFit Blueprint Project is to give athletes an opportunity to share their story in hopes that it will inspire others to make decisions to improve their life not just in the area of fitness, but in all areas.

It is to show that although circumstances can create huge obstacles in our journey, we can all affect change by believing we are in control of our own condition and making decisions to raise our standards.

Some of our members have fought to overcome depression, diabetes, eating disorders, and have gained monumental increases to their overall health and confidence. We honor and applaud them.

We have been serving Austin for over 11 years. We are located in the heart of the Milwood neighborhood in Northwest Austin. We are dedicated to making the community we serve fit and healthy to not only be well now, but also down the road as they age.

I am one of the three owners of Bat City CrossFit. We have been in business for over 10 years and I have been coaching and CrossFitting for over 12 years. I love it. My favorite part is the group aspect of it. Achieving goals by yourself is hard. There’s a connection when people workout together. They root for each other, they cheer you on, everyone is going through and feeling the same thing and we all know we’re going to be better when it’s done. Before I found CrossFit, I used to just work on the vanity muscles at the globo gym. Now, as I’ve aged, I’m so glad that I found CrossFit. I’m stronger and healthier than I’ve ever been and I know this is a gold mine for longevity. I am 3 times CrossFit certified.

My CrossFit journey started on a Tuesday in September 2014 when Corey asked me what I had to do the day after we moved to Fort Lauderdale and my answer was “nothing” so we went to his CrossFit gym together, then he asked every day after and here I am almost 10 years in. I believe CrossFit has positively contributed to the trajectory of my life as it was through this sport that I became more interested in who I was and what I was capable of beyond just physically. The development of strength, balance, and flexibility are not just a few of CrossFit’s basic principles for fitness, but also for my life. As a coach, I value connection, offering an encouraging space for growth, and having a good time while doing it. As you all might already know, I am in my second year of graduate school pursuing an MA in Clinical Mental Health with a concentration in Mindfulness-Based techniques and transpersonal psychology and I aspire to contribute to those who need guidance with their mental health and wellness when I graduate. When I am not working out or studying, I love to cuddle with our pup Flower, watch movies, do yoga, eat chips and salsa.

Howdy everyone! I have been coaching CrossFit since 2012, when I opened my own CrossFit gym in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In 2017, we moved back to Austin, and I began coaching at Bat City in February 2018. I have completed both the L1 and L2 CrossFit certifications, as well as the USAW L1 Weightlifting Certification. I thoroughly enjoy coaching both CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. Through CrossFit, I have discovered a great deal of joy in the sense of community, and I take pleasure in fostering that spirit here at Bat City through events, social gatherings, competitions, our barbell club, and volunteering opportunities.

Hello!! I started CrossFit in March 2018 here at Bat City and received my CF-L1 under Matt Lodin and Rick Gonzalez in summer 2022.  I also attended the Level 1 and 2 RX Gymnastics seminars in spring 2023.  My favorite benchmark and Hero wods are Nancy and DT.  My least favorite CrossFit movement is a three way tie between burpees, wall walks, and kettlebell snatches.  When I’m not coaching or doing a workout made up almost exclusively of heavy power cleans and toes to bar, I’m also a professional violinist and travel throughout Texas performing and teaching.

Hiya this is Cyndi, I started CrossFit over 10 years ago when we opened Bat City and quickly fell in love with the constantly varied methodology. I also found my passion in Olympic weightlifting and have been competing at state and national events over the last 7 years. My personal goal is to remain healthy and active and I’d like to think I help others do the same!

Hi! My name is Becca Sutton, I have been doing CrossFit for 4 years and coaching at Bat City for 3 years! I love CrossFit and more specifically the Olympic lifts and started competing last year in weightlifting. I also practice as a Physical Therapist and love being able to blend my skills as a PT and a coach to help people in the Bat City community achieve their goals and focus on their health and fitness!

Hi everyone, I’m Lauren Medeiros (CF-L1, CF Gymnastics), and I’ve been coaching at Bat City since 2021.  I grew up a track/cross-country athlete, and competed in both sports in college, including qualifying 2x for NCAA nationals as an individual.  I tried my first CrossFit class when I was living in Brazil in 2019, and fell in love with the training and community (fun fact: farmer’s carry is called “farmy carry” in Brazil).  I love the learning aspect of CrossFit- there’s always something to work on! – and enjoy being able to share some of what I’ve learned in my classes.

Howdy! My name is Jonathan and I am a substitute coach at Bat City. I am a native Austinite and I started doing CrossFit in 2013. I began coaching in 2015 after getting my CrossFit L1 and ACE Group Fitness Instructor certifications. I also have experience competing in Weightlifting and Strongman, as well as coaching Powerlifting.
